Loss of friend - don't lose hope

The day started out with a brisk walk and a good day at work. Over 14,000 steps walked. I had a good time creating material for my walk with Jesus program and then I heard a long time friend passed away from a heart attack. Dale was a good friend, we had many adventures together. I once saved him from drowning. Dale had a good voice and a tender heart to the Lord. He was a big encouragement to me. He had mental difficulties later in life and had many struggles, but I never lost the fond memories we had together in our 20's. I often wished I could of helped him later but I couldn't. Our human limitations are ever so apparent when illnesses can not be cured.
Why do we walk? One reason is to give us a chance against heat disease and sudden death. We can not always control the tragedies in our lives but walking regularly gives us a hope to prevent heart disease, diabetes and fight cancer. For people like Dale I hope to soon put my walking program on line to encourage people to walk. In my studies on the walks of Jesus my students comprise of interesting people. May I be able to encourage many who see little hope of change and be renewed. Keep walking, thanks Dale for the "Little Robin".
