Walking in the Cold warms you up

Yosemani Falls
November chills are on us. Walkers today were saying we have to get used to the cold. Key for me is layers of clothes and covering the skin when the wind chills are felt. Walking a few minutes and the body warms up the cold is easy to deal with. Barb and I walked a 2 1/2 mile trail today. We viewed ducks on the ponds and clear blue skies. Did some nice stretching after the hike. Walking around the holidays are great for calorie burns and are great to spend time away from the couch and excess food.
Spent some time with my sister and family. As I am writing this blog I am experiencing another great benefit, I am sleepy. Walking helps this insomniac sleep. Isn't rest a blessing. When I was younger I rarely had to think about it but as I have gotten older sleep doesn't come as easy. A good walk and workout helps. keep walking.
